This! I was literally just looking at this and thinking the same thing. I THINK WE JUST BECAME BEST FREINDS!

I was gonna say...isn't that thing going to cost like twice as much as the Hellcat?
![]() 08/13/2014 at 17:08 |

Probably $65k vs $110k or so.

GONNA TEAR IT UP! LEFT FOOT BRAKING, BRO!

Full size sedan vs track car? Fuck it, why not throw in a boat too?

Really? But family drag racer!

We don't know what the price for the Charger will be, so...eh?
Anyways, fine. I'll play your silly game.
http://cgi.chevrolet.com/mmgprod-us/dyn…
Starts at $53,000. $58,000 for the Z51

Pssh, Hellcat Charger eats cones for breakfast.
Literally, due to excessive understeer.
![]() 08/13/2014 at 17:10 |

We don't know how much either is going to cost. I'd seriously wager both start out around $75k
![]() 08/13/2014 at 17:11 |

Why I don't want a Charger. I don't need a full size sedan.

Family? Bah, just dead weight.

Because you're a communist?
Because you secretly yearn to someday own a nice, new Prius?
Because you're concerned what shredding tires will do to the environment?
Because you dislike wildcats (hidden college mascot message right here)?
Because your mother never held you?

Lol thanks! I think it will be in the low $60s since the Challenger is right at $60k. Reread my initial comment btw. I agree with the Z51 idea.

hoosiers, got some hoosiers for the track day bro!

Challenger is going to cost $59,995.
![]() 08/13/2014 at 17:15 |

But......... family ;(

I wholly agree the Hellcat cars will be around $75k
The ZO6 on the other hand...I don't know. I expect that to be around ZR1 prices.

and? I bet the Charger will be at least $69,900.

I actually do dislike wildcats (Kansas State)

Thus my comment. :)

$10 grand more expensive? For reals?
![]() 08/13/2014 at 19:51 |
|
That would honestly be my guess. The Super Bee is $8000 more than the base SRT Challenger, so $10k seems right to me
![]() 08/13/2014 at 20:10 |
|
Where do you see that? http://www.drivesrt.com/street/#year-2…
Challenger SRT is $45k, Charger SRT is $47k, and the Superbee is $44k. The Superbee is a stripped down Charger SRT. And the Challenger SRT 392 Core is $40k (stripped down Challenger SRT). So taking the normal Challenger and Charger SRT ($45k and $47k respectively), I would say the Challenger SRT Hellcat is $60k and the Charger $63-65k.

I took the core and super bee. So about 5 grand. Scale it up to a more exclusive car, probably only available fully loaded, and I put it at $70k. Both of us are just guessing

What a machine! However, if Dodge is smart, they suck it up, and sell the 'Cat cheap, at least for the first year, to try and steal some Corvette sales...

2 completely different target audiences. I mean, given the choice, C7. But if I had to buy a brand new, 4 door Mopar...

It was partially meant as satire since so many Jalopnik commenters make the same sort of comparison.
'Why buy a Fiesta ST when an FR-S costs the saem...'

Fair point. Carry on. (BTW, that's like what, 2.5-3 V6 Mustangs....)

It's more than 2 V6 mustangs in terms of power...ZING
